Who's Freddie?
Hello!
I’m Lucy, aka: Freddie’s mum, the one woman band behind this little business. Fred is a pretty cool and wildly inquisitive kid, with a deep love for cats and ice lollies.
This all began when I started selling Freddie's outgrown clothes back in June 2020. It's funny how little one's open up your eyes and mind to the world around you. I've always had an urge to do my bit for the planet in one way or another, and shopping secondhand has always made sense to me since I could buy my own clothes, even if it was just as a way to save money. But since having Freddie and seeing the sheer amount of clothes he was gifted and never got the chance to wear, made me nervous for all of the barely worn clothes out there and what impact this could have the planet.
Thus landed... Freddie & Friends
It's a win win for everyone. You get quality second hand children's clothes for a fraction of RRP, our consignees earn money and claim some space back in their homes, and I earn a small commission and grow my small business.
Keeping clothes in rotation, upcycling and mending is one way we can make sustainable choices for the future of our planet and kids home. Sustainability really is at the heart of Freddie & Friends and my aim is to showcase the very best of what preloved has to offer.
