I do a little jump for joy whenever I see a small business offering an awesome solution to prevent clothing waste. Here are some which I highly recommend you check out!

Sophie & Co

Founded in 2015, Sophie & Co is a small, family run company based in the heart of the UK creating high quality, handmade pieces for children.

"We take a sustainable, circular approach to children’s fashion through our room-for-growth sizing, unisex approach to fabric buying and the Refashion Service - a service repurposing our customers own clothing & textiles into clothing for their children. We believe that a piece of clothing should serve your child all year round, it should be passed down to siblings, resold, repurposed, donated to charity - we highly encourage all options to extend the life of our garments before it ends in landfill."

O Moon

Unique, bold clothing for independent kids, hand crafted resourcefully and truly sustainable.

"O Moon was founded on many years of high end fashion experience, by Hannah Exley-Myers who imagines, designs, pattern cuts, sews, and sources the eclectic range of textiles from her home studio by the sea in Hastings, England.

Each O Moon garment is carefully, and resourcefully crafted by hand using a combination of (vintage, repurposed, deadstock) fabrics that makes each one unique.

Each piece has been designed with independent, active kids in mind; with an emphasis on practicality and comfort for everyday childhood. Elasticated waists for ease of dressing, turn ups lined in contrast fabrics to make a style statement out of oversized, pockets to be filled with new collections, tops are designed to be worn oversized with cuffs turned up. Roomy styles to accommodate cloth nappies, and designed with growing children in mind. All made from original pattern blocks drafted by myself. "

PACHEE

Creators of kids collectable reward Patches & Beltbackpacks
What's extra cool about PACHEE is they have an amazing sustainable project: PATCH ME UP

"Calling for all kids clothes that need TLC! We are so excited to announce our new project - PATCH ME UP! 🌍  We will patch up that problem stain or rip for FREE
(explained further down) It is Pachee's way of helping parents to give a little more life to a little item of clothing. Let's do something great together. Kids make everything dirty and if they don’t are they even having fun!?
We know rips & stains can be passable but more often than not it's the reason we all send them packing. Theres nothing wrong with passing on clothes of course, pre-loved is a g-d send! But if we pass on upcycled clothes as opposed to ruined ones how much kinder would that be! So let's see where this little sustainable project takes us. If you have a little item in mind please get in touch!"
